1. Can I film an advertisement at a field or park?

First you would need to contact the Select Boards Office to request a filming permit at 617-898-4843. If granted you will need to email Paul Dimanno with your requested filming date and location.

2. Can I have a birthday party at the park?

Park space is public property and cannot be reserved. You may email Kevin Chrisom he can advise on the best/least busy location for the days you may be looking at.

3. Can I hold a special event in the park?

To request use of the one of the parks for a special event or to be placed on the agenda for a request please email Kevin B. Chrisom.

5. How do I find out about upcoming programs and events?

1. Please subscribe to our town page for email notifications when posted.
2. As soon as a program or event is posted our department displays flyers on the town website and emails out flyers to database of emails provided by public schools. We also emailed to St. Agathas School and St. Mary of the Hills for their email distribution.
3. Paper flyers are also displayed in the Office of Parks and Recreation in addition to the display rack in the lobby.

6. How do I register for recreation programs?

Registration is available through Unibank at the online registration on our town page.

7. How do I request a field?

Field requests are granted based on field availability. To check on availability please email Kevin B. Chrisom.

8. How do I reserve a picnic area at Houghtons Pond?

Houghtons Pond is owned by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). To reserve a picnic area or any DCR property please go to the Reserve America Site.

9. How do I subscribe to get Parks and Recreation notifications?

1. Go to How do I on the top right of the page and hover over Where do I go for button.
2. Scroll down to Subscribe for News.
3. Enter your email and fill required fields.
4. Click Subscribe on Parks and Recreation choice for News and Announcements and you may also choose to receive Urgent Alerts.

11. What is the refund policy?

Refund Policy:

1. A request for a refund must be made at least 6 business days prior to the start of any program/event.
2. Please send an email with the request to Bonnie Devore with your child's name and the program you are requesting a refund for.
