Domestic Violence Advocacy Program

DOVE GraphicDomestic violence can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or age. The Milton Police Department takes this type of crime very seriously while simultaneously working to ensure the privacy and safety of the victim. The Milton Police Department is committed to responding to these calls with professionalism, care, and sensitivity and understands that not only are the victims affected but children can be as well. Statistics also reveal that children who witness violence are significantly more likely to suffer emotional trauma which can lead to addictions, anxiety, and decreased self-esteem.

The Milton Police Department's Domestic Violence Officer is Sergeant Kristen Murphy. Officer Murphy's role in domestic violence situations can range from initial response all the way to court prosecution. Officer Murphy can be contacted via phone at 617-898-4811.
