Special Town Election -FEBRUARY 14, 2024(Rescheduled)

Due to the snow forecast for Tuesday, Feb. 13th, the Special Election will now be held on Wednesday, Feb. 14th.  Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm at all regular polling locations. All Vote by Mail ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk's Office no later than 8 pm on February 14th to be counted. 


Election Day Voting Locations and Hours 

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Voters will vote at their usual locations: 

  • Precinct 1         Tucker School, Blue Hills Parkway 
  • Precinct 2         Milton Senior Center, Walnut Street
  • Precinct 3         Cunningham Park Community Center, Edge Hill Road 
  • Precinct 4         Milton Senior Center, Walnut Street 
  • Precinct 4A      Milton Senior Center, Walnut Street 
  • Precinct 5         Copeland Field House, Milton High School, Gile Road 
  • Precinct 6         Cunningham School Gymnasium, Edge Hill Road 
  • Precinct 7         Cunningham Park Community Center, Edge Hill Road 
  • Precinct 8         Cunningham School Gymnasium, Edge Hill Road
  • Precinct 9         Copeland Field House, Milton High School, Gile Road 
  • Precinct 10       Tucker School, Blue Hills Parkway 

Last Day to Register to Vote

If you wish to vote in the Special Town Meeting-Election, you must register to vote at least 10 days before the election by Friday, February 2, 2024:
  • by 5 PM for in-person requests,
  • by 11:59 PM for online requests, and
  • postmarked by Friday, February 2, 2024 for mail-in requests.

Voter Registrations received after this date will be entered after the Election.

The deadline to submit an application for Early Voting by mail is 5:00 PM on February 6, 2024.  All ballots must be received at the Office of the Town Clerk by 8:00 PM on February 14, 2024 (RESCHEDULED DATE)

Advance Removal & Deposit Hours 

Notice of advance removal and depositing of Early Voted Ballots in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 54 section 25B as amended by Section 10 of Chapter 92 of the Acts of 2022, the Town of Milton may be opening and/or depositing early voted ballots at the Town Offices, 525 Canton Ave for this upcoming February 13, 2024, Special Election. Dates/times will be as follows:

Wednesday, February 7, 2024                     10:00 AM

Thursday, February 8, 2024                          10:00 AM

Friday, February 9, 2024                                10:00 AM

Saturday, February 10, 2024                        10:00 AM

Sunday, February 11, 2024                           10:00 AM

 We respectfully ask that observers register in advance (before the end of the business day prior) of all processing of early voted ballots sessions by emailing townclerk@townofmilton.org. A full record of advance removal and advance depositing will be kept for each session. In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 54 section 25B as amended by Section 10 of Chapter 92 of the Acts of 2022, no results shall be determined or announced until after the time the polls close on Election Day. At that time, the results from the advance processed ballots will be added to the election day results and posted in a public place.
